Collaborative project with Logos Foundation

After a year of hard work, the Logos Foundation presents the first results of a heritage project called "Cataloguing and documenting the collection of musical instruments of the Logos Foundation". This project runs in partnership with the mim.

Together with colleagues from the Centre for Music and Performing Arts Heritage (CEMPER) and expert Maarten Quanten, musical instruments of the Logos Foundation were brought out of their storage. All partners then searched their archives for photos, sound recordings, videos, construction drawings and surprising stories about the role of these instruments.

The first phase of the study focused on the instruments that Godfried-Willem Raes built from the 1960s to the end of the 1980s. Discover them on the project website (www.logosfoundation.org/logoscollectie/home/) and in the mim's online catalogue (www.carmentis.be).

This is of course just the starting point. Follow the project as it further progresses. The remaining musical instruments and robots that Raes invented and built will also be added in the coming year.

This project runs with the support of the Flemish Government.
