Mahillon instruments

The illustrious Mahillon company was active in Brussels from 1836 until the second half of the 20th century. Founded by Charles-Borromée, it was later managed by his descendants, including Victor-Charles - none other than the founder and first curator of the mim - followed by subsequent generations. The Mahillon name is intrinsically linked with the mim, so it should come as no surprise that the museum contains over one hundred instruments bearing this famous trademark, not forgetting the educational and experimental material created by Victor-Charles, who was also a brilliant acoustician.
