Erfgoeddag

Erfgoeddag (Heritage Day) is an event organized by FARO (Flemish Institution for Cultural Heritage) to highlight the rich and diverse cultural heritage landscape in Flanders and Brussels. This year’s theme is '​Beestig' (='Zoo-tastic')

At the MIM, you can attend for free a pop-up exhibition in the concert hall. Did you know that without animals, we would miss out on a lot of music? After all, a lot of musical instruments are made from materials of animal origin. Oral explanations are provided.

Before or afterwards, we recommend you to visit the museum galleries with the help of an multimedia guide and a thematic tour specially created for the occasion. The pop-up exhibition is open to everyone free of charge. The entrance to the galleries is only free under 18 years old. Find more info on our rates here.
