Erik Satie and Les Six

Concert CRB

Music by the 'Groupe des Six' (Georges Auric, Louis Durey, Arthur Honegger, Darius Milhaud, Francis Poulenc and Germaine Tailleferre) who were part of the Parisian artistic scene in the aftermath of the First World War. They were supported by Éric Satie, an atypical musician and precursor of Dadaism, and by Jean Cocteau, their 'unofficial' impresario. The Six blew a new wind through the Paris of the Roaring Twenties, when everything seemed possible.
