Richard Sutcliffe holds a PhD in musicology (University of Huddersfield, UK) and license and master diplomas in music from the Orpheus Institute, Ghent and the Koninklijk Conservatoriuim Brussel. Before joining MIM he was head librarian of the Muziekbibliotheek, Ghent and research coordinator at the library of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. He is a specialist in early music performance practice and 19th-century Belgian music history. Richard is currently a researcher at the UCLouvain and MIM working on the MUSIM project which studies the archives of the museum.
